V Muraleedharan, Minister of State for External Affairs, said in a written reply to a question in Rajya Sabha that there are 16 countries that provide visa-free entry to ordinary Indian passport holders. He further informed that there are 43 countries providing visa-on-arrival facilities, and 36 countries providing e-visa facilities.

- Montserrat.
The Minister further said that it is the continuing efforts of the government to increase this number of free-visa travel, e-visa facilities, and visa-on-arrival. This will, of course, allow travellers to go on international travels with ease.
Now, Indonesia and Myanmar provide visa-on-arrival to Indian passport holders, while Malaysia and New Zealand have e-visa facilities for Indians.
