4 Days Trip to Badrinath Dham In COVID Time

Badrinath is one of the most religious and visited place in India. Pilgrimage comes across from all over India to visit Badrinath Dham. The town badrinath is lies between Nar and Narayan Mountain ranges and in the shadow of the mighty Neelkantha Peak. The Several Turquoise lakes, towering peaks, scared ponds and beauty of valley makes Badrinath special and a must visit place.

I have traveled to Badrinath Dham in this COVID time to share my daily travel experience with you. So let's get started. If you planning for the first time then be prepared for a big task. Badrinath is located in the Kumaon Himalayas along a bank of the Ganges (Ganges) River at an elevation of about 10,000 feet (3,000 meters).

Day to Day Travel Experience 

 

Day 0 : Reach to Haridwar/ Rishikesh or Dehradun

If you planning to start traveling to Badrinath on 3rd day of week then plan your trip on 1st day of the week that's give you an extra days to explore Haridwar and Rishikesh or near by places in this COVID time. Make sure you start your trip with E-PASS and earlier in morning around 5 o'clock. 

 

Day 01: Rishikesh to Badrinath / Tehire/ Joshimath (296.3 Km) | 14 Hrs

There are only one bus on Bus stand and few cabs on taxi stand you can find it in Rishikesh. 

In the COVID time hitchhiking maybe not possible so it's better to book your cab/Taxi or bus. Bus fair is Rs. 500 per person i know the bus fair because i was planning to travel to bus rather than my own car and timing is 5:30am in the morning the only bus who goes to Badrinath. So be prepair before plan your trip Badrinath.

Route

This COVID time to travel to Badrinath, one has to start the journey by a new route. Sharing the google Map below.

Unfortunately you have the only option to follow this route to Badrinath

Rishikesh - New Tehri -Molnau - Shrinagar - Rudrpryag - Chamoli - Joshimath - Badrinath

 

Day 02 :  Visit to Badrinath and last village of India

Near by your destination some cops are their for to tell you that at your destionation  no hotels are free all are over booked. you can do one thing go back 1or 1.5 km back and stay, but not is like that you can travel until you reach to your destination in time.

Once you reach your destination  make sure you find your hotel before 100km back of temple, hotel will cost you near Rs.1500 per night and it worth for 6 persons. Rather than if you want to stay near the temple it will cost you Rs.3000 per person max 2/3 person. if you get the room then book asap because no one know when other person Came and book the same hotel so book a Hotel or room take rest an don't forget to carry a water boiler with you.

Wake up earlier get fresh and get ready to attend the temple aarti at 7am. It took hardly 30-45 min from taking hot bath at temple to attend aarti and parikarma of temple. After that you can visit nearby locations like Vasudhara falls, Neelkanth Peak, Valley of Flowers and mana villag. Mana Village you can't go inside due to some reasons.

Day 03 : Badrinath to Rishsikesh / Haridwar

 Bid Adieu to this beautiful spritua place of Uttarakhand situated on the bank of clam Alaknanda River. Take Bus/Car/Taxi for Bus stand or Taxi stand. But again you have to start your journey in earlier as same 5am to reach Rishikesh or Haridwar at safest time.

 

Day 04 : Haridwar to back to your Destination

Finally reach to Haridwar take rest and do whatever you want to do shoping, gifts, or ganga nahan . Gange maiya ki jai. Reach home safely because safety is must.
